The JRAPC’s Accreditation procedureThe JRAPC’s Accreditation procedure The individual accreditation procedure 1. Candidates apply to JRAPC for the application form and information about the Association; 2. The Registration Commission sends information and the application form to the candidate to complete; 3. The candidate sends the completed application form to the Registration Commission; 4. The Registration Commission uses a system which ascertain that the candidate’s information is true and correct; 5. If the membership’s requirements are satisfied for the candidate as a new member a letter of confirmation will be send to the candidate by the Registration Commission; 6. The candidate’s application form, documents and other necessary information are forwarded to the members of the Accreditation Board on the recommendation by the Registration Commission; 7. The members of the Accreditation Board choose together a specific time, date and place for making of the decision of going on a new candidate for the JRAPC register; 8. The decision is made according to the voting of the members of the Accreditation Board. Voting is open. If someone refuses to take a decision then the decision is deferred until the next meeting of the Accreditation Board. 9. When the Registration Commission registers the candidate as a counsellor, the certificate will sent to the candidate according to the membership level. Fees will also be required; 10. Unsuccessful candidates will be informed by letter outlining the reason for non-accreditation. The decision of the Accreditation Board may be appealed by the Ethical Committee at the request of a candidate; 11. If a member of JRAPC violates the Ethical and Professional Code he or she may be turned down. For such situations there is a special Complaint Procedure. |
